Slide 1
Big construction projects at the top
Feeding materials down from their level to the bottom level in lots of little pieces
With very little time given to the companies at the bottom for them to prepare
There are lots of companies at the bottom waiting for these materials to feed through
The small companies each take a small piece of the many pieces coming through
Some of these pieces fall through and end up in a skip or landfill, which is a big negative point
The small companies then feed these small bits out to their network of even smaller companies to make small amounts of money which stays with them

They have the material passports (1) this time which creates more time to give notice to the smaller companies
The materials feed into a big, consolidated marketplace now instead of filtering down in lots of little pieces
Slightly bigger (medium sized) and the occasional large size companies take a share of the materials now from the big marketplace, and the small ones do still, but thereâs less of them now
The money made is bigger this time around, and far less of the materials filter through to waste
Most of the money filters back up the chain to the original big company and some of it goes out to the medium and small companies (Prize: 50)
