USER INTERFACE REQUIRED
The UI needed can best be described as an online representation of a piece of knotted elastic being manipulated on a board that is 2000 units WIDE x 1024 units HIGH.
The digital "string" would be a line, which can start as a simple horizontal line across the page. The knots can be represented by dots on the line - 125 of them with one at each end.
The line needs to behave like the piece of elastic, but in three different modes:
Mode 1 (Default) - Like a piece of knotted elastic on a board. When the User drags a dot (knot) the line bends and follows and the dots maintain their position relative to each other on the line. So, beginning with a straight line across the board, grabbing a central dot and dragging down would result in a half elipse shape with the dots still in place on the line... and so on.
Mode 2 (Multi-Select) - Allow the user to select a range of SEQUENTIAL dots and move them (ie a segment of the line, we don't want to have to cater to selecting alternate dots, or the dots at the extremities, for instance). The selected part of the line must retain its shape and size and the remainder of the line with the dots will follow, retaining their relative position on the line. (Just like pressing the length of a thumb along a group of knots and dragging the string).
Mode 3 (Isolated Select) - Allow the user to select a single dot (double-click will probably be best), and move it independently of the other dots. The line must stretch or compress to accommodate its movement, and it's new relative position will be saved (it might be moved far away from its neighbour, for instance).
When a SUBMIT button is pressed (ie the User has stopped manipulating the line), I need to be able to retrieve the x,y co-ordinate on the board for the centre of each dot in sequence (in other words, fill an array with each dot's 2D location).
The winning entry must work and be demonstrated to work to receive the prize. The winning code will belong to me after the contest and I will incorporate it into a program we're developing. (Prize: 1000)

We need a modern, professional and creative looking logo for Invoice Financing Company named Factoring Express. Factoring Express provides financing to businesses to improve cash flow, while advancing funds to help manage accounts receivable.
Here are criteria that we want you to keep in mind:
CRITERIA (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
Key descriptions: Serious, Corporate, Eye catching, Creative, Smart
Colors: Any colors, but we prefer simplicity (1-2 colors).
Style: We prefer minimalist designs on a white background (so that the text and logo stand out), but all ideas will be considered. We would like logo to be separated from the company name (so we could use it in different ways - logo with a company name or just a logo).
