Help me decide on home network setup by MeltManBob
I'm looking to setup system image backups and file versioning on my desktop, media storage on a DIY NAS (I like SnapRaid), eventually build an HTPC, start doing mobile device backups. I want to do the first set up desktop/HTPC backups on their secondary drives. Some files/folders may be backed up/versioned faster than every hour, some hourly, system snapshots/backups hourly or every few hours.
The next backup will be once a day to the NAS where it would be daily/weekly. The point is to age the data long enough to make sure the antivirus/antimalware has time to catch up with definitions for anything it missed. After aging completely I'll copy it to the offline storage weekly.
The problem I see is mobile backups will be fresh compared to the pc's aged backups (1-2 days), the media unless temporarily stored on the HTPC will go directly to the NAS (most space will be media), these 2 items (mobile, media) are potentially high risk for malware and are from 2 entirely different vectors so I would not want to mix them with each other or with the aged pc backups.
So how do I do this? Do I build 3 machines, one for aged backups/storage, one for new media and one for new mobile backups? Can I group things separately on one machine in such a way that I won't risk one to the other? Would virtual machines offer a solution? If so and used to create spaces for the new media and mobile data until it's aged, what happens if they crash or the host crashes?
I'm not looking for anyone to tell me the installation steps, I'm just trying to solve the basic concepts of building a secure system to do what I want. I'm not interested in ZFS/FreeNAS; the storage should only be active once a day for backups and the occasional handful of files being read from it by just me and I have no intention of using it to run a bunch of other services. Unless I can combine the HTPC and NAS, otherwise minimal hardware required. (Prize: 10)

- 1 of the people needs to be the main guy (The guy with the red hair)
- At least 3-4+ females per image.
2) Women need to be large breasted and in bathing suits or scant clothing, consistent with the theme.
(You can make them topless for Mardi Gras, pool or hot tub designs)
3) Our guy is meant to be puny/wimpy, yet the women love him. So make his an average/ordinary guy.
4) Each person should have their own set of layers, so I can easily move a person to another photoshop file

Drawings for a Children's Book by Themanonamission
We are working on a children's book series for young girls, Rad Women of Herstory (RWoH). The first book is based on Amelia Earhart, the pioneering female pilot. We have had some good initial work done (see attached) but need to find an artist that can illustrate the book (15+ images in total). In order to find the right artist we are running this contest for 2 images with an award of $100. The images we need are:
1) A cover image with Amelia and plane. We loved the style of the attached work (AE1) but have been unable to reach the original artist after our initial contest.
2) An image with young Amelia with her father at the St. Louis World Fair in 1904. Original artist had started a piece (attached AE2) but had not completed work.
Based on submissions for these two drawings we will pick a winner, whom we hope will illustrate the additional 13+ images for the remainder of the book.
We need an artist who will be dedicated to the whole project.
We are responsive and happy to answer questions before you begin work and will provide feedback on any worthy entries.

To give you some context, I am attaching a website design idea so you see where it's going to be placed.
This is something that people would order for themselves, not as a gift so please avoid using a gift basket in the design. You can use a postage box, but it's not mandatory.
The following items are included in the package (all normal sized female products):

Design a Logo by rich45
I need a logo for a gun store - Patriots Guns. The logo will be used for advertising as well as embroidered logos on shirts, store signage and so on.
We sell tactical-type firearms, as well as hunting firearms.
I want to avoid anything overly cliché in the logo.
- no guns
- no crosshairs
- no flags
- do not want red-white-blue (US flag colors) themed logo
Don't go overboard with the "patriot" aspect of the design. For example, you do not need to include a US flag or a soldier, etc. in the logo.
It is ok to use Christian imagery - a cross, a sword, etc - but in a subtle way. I don't want a giant cross, but if a small cross were incorporated that would be ok.
I'm envisioning some sort of shield design, perhaps incorporating a single star, but don't let that limit your creativity. I will consider outdoor/hunting themed designs as well.
2 colors only, please.
