Software for qualitative content analysis/big data by lutzzy
My company provides analysis of complex documentation, such as contracts, operations manuals, service level agreements etc. We provide our customers with a representation of the documents that shows the sentences of the document per pre-defined content category. As an example we would categorize all "milestones" in a document as milestones and all qualitative definitions as "service levels". Today we use a custom software based on php and mysql that allows us to search the text for nearly any combination of text strings.
Our software today provides functionality that is similar to qualitative content analysis software used in social sciences such as MaxQDA, Atlas or NVivo, while using a GUI that is custom for our analysis process.
We are interested to understand
1) what existing software is out there in the market that does qualitative content analysis AND automatically learns the search patterns and categorization and hence gets more and more accurate every time we use it.
2) how such a learning capability could be best integrated into our existing software.
3) how and if the big data analytics suites such as autonomy or IBM big data solutions offer functionality that we could teach to categorize document content in the way we do.
The goal is to reduce the amount of manual rework in our current process. Also we are interested to find an IT guru in this field who'd be interested to work with us on the evolution and development of our services.

Dear Designer,
I need to polish my website design mock up. The idea of the site is to give a user a tool to record a message with a music track background. The feel of the site that I'm looking to get is an excellent modern top flight flat design with no sharp edges, think - http://fltdsgn.com/, also look at https://plus.google.com/+Digitalocean/posts - you see their graphics? That's what i want ;) It needs to have a soothing welcoming color scheme, at the same time in needs to feel light. The font would also correspond. You'd need to develop all icons (zoom in, out, delete, play, image, text, etc) as well. Everything needs to fit on one page, no scrolling. Feel free to re-arrange elements where it makes sense, creativity is much welcomed! It is possible that I completely looked over, suggestions are welcomed! I would expect finised design to be in PSD or similar suitable format.
Initially (page 1) both the message sound bite and the background tracks are empty. In order to add them user needs to 1) record the message sound bite through the browser (3-5 seconds) by clicking the record button b) upload an MP3 track. Once this is done (page 2) they need to set when to start the message and at what interval to repeat it. They can listen to the message/background and delete it individually. The can also delete the whole track as well as zoom it in and out. When the "mixing" the complete affirmation track he then presses the "Download" button to download it as an MP3.
I think the rest is self explanatory, but you can send me any questions.
The contest may not be the best format, but i need to see the effort, I could potentially award you with a subsequent and deeper design.

Name our band - contemporary Christian rock by tmoberly
Newly formed band that plays original contemporary Christian music needs a name. Music style can best be described as "Americana"; acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, vocals, harmonies. All male. Lyrics are heavily Christian influenced, yet subtle in delivery (not preachy; we tell stories in our songs, this is not necessarily music you would hear in church).
Christian musical influences: Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, Mercy Me, Caedmons' Call.
Non-christian influences: The Beatles, REM, Bruce Springsteen, Jim Croce
Characterization: Imagine if the Beatles and REM got together and wrote Christian music.
