The company will be an 'event management company' serving wealthy customers in the UK.
A few hints for the design:
- Use rich/royal colours
- Try to use the 'M' as an iconic symbol

Logo of name for website by EricHermanMusic
Hi everybody... I'm looking for a new logo of my name (ERIC HERMAN) for my website. Unlike my old logo (attached), which is circular and has "Eric" on one line and "Herman" below it, this time I would like something horizontal that goes across on one line.
The only specific thing other than being horizontal is that it should probably have the same blue/yellow color scheme that I've used for a long time, and possibly a necktie for the "I" of "ERIC," as in my old logo. I also don't think I would want it to be italic, though I'm open to that. But otherwise, make it creative and cool looking and do not consider the old logo to be a template for the new one. This is for a kids/family music site, so keep that in mind, though I'd rather it look cool and stylish and not "babyish." Also, the background of the website will be black, so you should use that as the background for entries, though it should also work well on its own, without any background.
I'll try to give feedback throughout the contest, and will at least rate every entry. I never rate higher than 4 stars, though, except for the winner (after the contest ends). 3 or 4 stars means an entry is definitely in consideration. (Prize: 70)

Graphics to be used in a Human Machine Interface display for industrial equipment by jhains
The machine I have is an industrial oven, currently we have outdate HMI screen graphics and views. Want to have better view of machine and graphics to be used on our HMI screen where operators work with it every day.
Wanted designs / features
I am looking for a way to show operation of machine in a graphical way without having to show numbers so that you can visually tell with ease what is happening. Also want to this to look sharp and modern, current look is very basic and old. Right now if I wanted to know exact details of machine such as how much flame I would have to go to your password protected back screen (not shown) and read all numbers. Looking for as an example, to tell temperature of a chamber there would be a gradient change in the color such as blue color base for cold and red for higher temp end.
- Burner flame, current there are two graphics, one large and one small. Want to be able to show flame proportional to current size, so if 30%, 80%, etc the graphic will show it. Current flame graphic is 10% and 100%.
- Air graphics, same as flame, only have two graphics one small and one large, want this to be proportional to what current air at that particular point is.
o When Floor Air is in use the gases in the chamber are swirling or turbulent. Would like way to show this happening in the chamber graphically.
o Middle air also creates some gas mixing with the exhaust and inject air. Would like a graphical way to show this as well.
- For the time counting time of operation that is fine but want to show a way to say how close operation is to being completed. When normally ran we have premade programs that will do the machine operation so we know when the full operation is closer to be done.
- Any other way to increase visual aesthetics relating to operating the machine.
Here are details I received from my IT regarding limitations currently for graphics.
The WinCC software allows the use of ActiveX objects. You can use graphics created with an external graphic program in WinCC. You can save them as a graphic file with the following formats:
*.bmp, *.ico, *.emf, *.wmf, *.gif, *.tif, *.png, *.jpeg or *.jpg
Additionally, an OLE object that is embedded in WinCC and is linked to an external graphic editor. In the case of an OLE link, you open the external graphic editor from WinCC. The linked object is edited using the graphic editor. An OLE link only works if the external graphic editor is installed on your PC, and supports OLE.
