We have a series of six web sites that have old, awkward logos. The logo consists of three elements:
1. A sailboat sail
2. A wave
3. A type treatment of the site name
The goal of the contest is to re-combine or modify these three elements to make a cohesive logo.
Guidelines: We like simple design, the simpler the better. We do not want an ornate logo. We want the type to be large, perhaps even dominant.
Restrictions: You cannot change the type font. The sail and wave may be modified in any way you want. We would prefer a white background unless you have a compelling reason to change that.
For the contest, please submit your ideas for ONLY the Sailboatowners.com logo.
Work product: the winner will produce 1 high resolution file (300 dpi psd) and 1 vector file of each logo (there are 6, total). (Prize: 250)

Screen Recording of a Video Player by tcast15
We are working on a larger client project and are looking for some support on a key component of the app, so we are running a content.
We have a need to Screen Record to video/audio a UIView containing a video player. Currently we are using ASScreenRecorder to handle the screen recording, but we are unable to capture the video playing in the AVPlayer - we just get a black box in that area. On the Simulator, everything is fine, but the device is blocking access to the Video Player view for some reason.
We are looking for someone to provide a working prototype capable of screen recording the video player view at greater than 24 FPS, without a long processing delay after the screen recording is complete. A typical video is between 10 and 15 min in length.
We have tried doing screenshots every X FPS but are only able to get 10 FPS realtime on iPad Air 2 and 4 or less on older devices.
OpenFramework (C++) has some libraries that look interesting and are outside of the default iOS libraries, so this might be an option to look at.

Another potential solution would be to use the GPUImage library and GPUImageMovieWriter - but we have not tested this.
