Logo Design Requirements
Design Objectives & Deliverables:
To develop three logo designs; one for a company logo and two product logos in the software design, development and applications business.
The three logos should be simple yet distinctive and contemporary (without looking "trendy or fashionable" so they are representative of the industry and will continue to be relevant with time)
The logos should not look like a copy of any existing logo(s), especially in a similar industry.
The logos should be cost-effective and versatile in applications.
We would like to see design options based on 1) use of graphic imagery and typography and 2) typography without imagery
Corporate Logo:
The company logo will be the umbrella brand with the product logos being under this umbrella brand.
Product Logos:
The two product logos should complement each other as well as the corporate brand logo; ie they may be different but will need to look like they belong together either in design styling or color scheme etc.
Company Background:
The name of our company is Acorn Applications.
1. We are a software and consulting company focused on the life sciences industry.
2. We develop advanced software solutions for pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations, to help them with new drug development.
3. A clinical trial is a process (a part of the entire research) to get a new drug approved for use in humans.
4. We operate in the pharmaceutical industry which is rather conservative (ie with emphasis on safety and process-driven objectivity).
5. We are looking for logos with a design concept that could instill the following values (themes):
a. Reliable
b. Conservative (but not dated or backward)
c. Safe
d. Life Sciences (with a focus on enhancing and saving lives through science, research and technology)

Website Layout and Design for New Mega-Platform: Tributr by bryanfranklin
Tributr.com is the online marketplace for entrepreneurs to help each other.
Users are entrepreneurs with businesses from $10k in revenue to $100M in revenue, who believe that the best way to succeed is to contribute... to help each other.
The site is centered around a new social currency called "Contribution Rating". A user's Contribution Rating is a number between 0-99 that signifies how much they contribute to the community. The main ways that a user can increase their contribution rating is by offering help to another user towards that user's business goals, which are listed on the site.
There is a working prototype (not skinned) of the main business logic behind the site, and we want to find a designer who will work with us long term to create an extraordinary user experience.
We are using this contest to find a designer that we will want to use on an ongoing basis - eventually full time. We have a base of 100 or so private beta users *waiting* to use the site as soon as it is 'skinned' with your design.
The management team and advisory board for tributr.com includes some of the world's most successful entrepreneurial coaches, the world's most successful seller of online marketing education for entrepreneurs, and the founder of 3 start-ups that are valued at more than $100 Million each (two were purchased, one is still a stand-alone company).
Our standards are very high. Only an excellent design will win this contest.

The most important aspect of this design is that the user's eye is guided to what is most important, with clear, compelling actions that are visually rewarding to take.

Character Illustration Designs for Kid's Game by schecky1000
Hello. I am looking for 5 character illustrations to be used on backs of playing cards. Each illustration will be of a fun, energetic, happy, playful child (think around the 8-10 age range) representing the following:
1. A child doing a fun action/activity like catching a ball, jumping over something etc.
2. A child looking like they are solving a mystery...maybe wearing something like a Sherlock Holmes costume, using a magnifying glass..be creative)
3. A child learning...reading, at a chalkboard or something that shows they are learning...no computers
4. A child dressed up as a fun character in a play...like a pirate, an animal, astronaut...
5. A child doing multiple funny tricks...like juggling and balancing a book or cups on their head at the same time...

OpenOpp.com is a well established job site that is going through a redesign. Currently it is focused on selling an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to businesses looking for a mechanism to track candidates applying for their open jobs. The redesign needs to continue marketing those services. However, we are expanding our business model and need the site to represent those changes.
There are two pages that are being designed within this contest. The main job seeker (candidate) page and the main employer page. These pages are public facing.

Logo para Startup - Marketplace de créditos (Credit Marketplace) by facundoturconi
Hola, nos encantarÃa que quieras participar en nuestro proyecto.
Buscamos el mejor logo, somos una startup que busca crear un espacio donde las personas que necesiten crédito puedan calificarse en nuestro sistema y poner su solicitud, y donde los bancos puedan acceder a la información de los usuarios y oferten créditos. Buscamos un logotipo moderno, redondeado, no rÃgido... Nos encantan los colores verdes fuertes combinados con blanco (ver color de la web rainforestqa.com) y también nos gusta mucho el xian o celeste bien intenso, donde el blanco detrás queda bien llamativo.... Las combinaciones entre verdes y celestes o azules con fondo blanco, nos agradan mucho también, aunque no sabemos cuales son las más adecuadas para transmitir lo que queremos.
Aún no tenemos ni landing page (la vamos a mandar a hacer luego de tener el logotipo del startup). Estamos empezando nuestro proyecto, que no tiene fondeo más que el propio y buscamos al mejor diseño! =)
Además, generaremos información en el sitio que nos ayudará a generar ingresos - nos convertirÃamos, además de comercializadores de crédito en una especie de central crediticia - dicha información serÃa vendida en un futuro a los bancos.
Queremos mostrar cercanÃa, responsabilidad y ayuda a los usuarios frente a los bancos; transparencia, modernidad y seriedad al mismo tiempo. Hacia los bancos y financieras queremos transmitirles que somos un canal virtual para comercializar créditos, solo eso. Necesitamos llamar la suficiente atención de los usuarios en realidad, para recién poder sentarnos con los bancos..., asà que es primordial lo que se transmite a los primeros.
Mercado: De México para abajo, todo... lo que incluye Brasil.
Nombre tentativo: uLoanMe (tenemos registrada la pagina uloan.me), aunque podrÃa ser algún otro... ya que preferirÃamos un nombre de fantasÃa o en castellano. Por lo tanto serÃa bueno contar con un logotipo y que a su lado esté el nombre escrito en determinada tipografÃa (por si cambiamos el nombre, nos gustará conservar este logo).
Si hablas castellano y vivÃs en sudamérica, mucho mejor... queremos transmitir en el logotipo la idiosincracia de esta tierra, como sentimos y vivimos.

Design a 'White Hat' Freelancer.com Badge by spble

We want a new badge, a 'white hats' badge, which we can award to users who responsibly disclose security vulnerabilities in our website. This contest is for the design of that badge.
This is an 'elite' badge, so it will need to have the correct shape. The attached PSD file contains the outline you should use (not colours or anything though).
