Okay, this logo is to feature the words "Rubicon Testing" (without the quotation marks).
This company does English testing online, so I'm after something modern, but with a sober, corporate feel.
The logo should certainly include some colour, but colours should be corporate and businesslike rather than overly vibrant or garish. Ideally I'd like

Vaporetto, Venetian Bar & Eatery, is set to open in Hawthorn, Melbourne in December and we are looking for a Graphic Designer to produce our logo and one other icon for use on all of our online and printed materials.
Vaporetto translates as "Little Steamer" in Italian, and they are the boats which form the public transport system of the Venice canals, taking people all around the beloved islands of Venice.
What we are looking for specifically:
A logo - Vaporetto signs are everywhere in Venice, showing people where to find their nearest stop. We want to use the design of these iconic signs as our logo (please see pictures attached). The rusted red colour is key to the Vaporetto logo so we would like one version that is true to the colours of the original signs, and one version which is just a black stencil version. Please do not include the word "Al" as in the picture example but do include the arrow.
An icon - The arrow will be used as our secondary logo, for use on smaller things such as our wine glass etchings, printed on our crockery, on the staff aprons, etc. We would like one version in it's truest classic colour (rusted red) and one version which again is a black stencil.
Formats we require: PDF, JPEG and EPS (all high res)
Further design work for this project may follow the successful designer, such as Business Card Design, Letterhead, etc. But for now we want to ensure we get the Vaporetto Logo and Arrow Icon perfect first and foremost. (Prize: 100)

This time we have a simple project for you:
We need a minor redesign of an existing logo. Especially the colors, font and layout needs to be a bit more modern related to the IT/Computer sector.
Attached in the zip file (logo_versions.zip) you see different versions of the existing logo, because there was no created brand and/or Corporate identity Guideline available in the past. Which brought us and other designers problems.
So this contest has two parts:

1. Redesign the logo and do only very minor change for the color, font and layout. Based on logo.jpg attached
2. If the logo is done, please create a small CI (corporate identity) guideline which explains the font type, size, color codes, etc. (A draft can be delivered in urgent cases).
