Hi All,
I need a new logo for my new shaving brand. It is called-
Ministry of Shave
We specialise in shaving associated products including-
A Pre Shave Oil
A Shaving Cream (Designed to be used with a traditional shaving brush)
An aftershave lotion
We also have a small range of razor handles, shaving bowls, shaving brushes and stands.
We cater to the upper end of the market so require a logo that reflects this. We are in the higher end of the pricing bracket and re quire a logo that is--

A feel of distinction and sophistication
Simple
Reflects quality
Modern but with a slightly traditional feel to it
Stylish
Regal
Eye catching!!
We put ourselves in the premium end of the market and it is important we reflect this. With this though we have slightly traditional approach to our products so it wouldn't hurt for our logo to have a slightly traditional feel to it crossed with a hint of modernism. We are bringing old school shaving into the modern world again!
I would also be able to see what colour range you could come up with and see if this could possibly transfer over to our packaging and corporate image as well as e would like the whole lot to flow through. With the colour choices you are at your own free choice and this won't be a deciding factor on the logo so please don't stress about it but it sure would help. If you do go down this road think about what a label might look like or a box holding a shaving brush or bottle of our product.
If you are also skilful at packaging then there is an almost immediate requirement after this contest finishes to help me with product packaging, labels etc as well. Given this logo will go onto packaging I would also suggest that it is not too detailed. If you used a particular style of type then I would also like a three letter acronym of the word Ministry of Shave or MOS. This can be done in the same style as the logo but does not need to be included in the logo design itself. It is only for if I want to put the initials onto an item which may not be big enough to put the entire name on it. It would only have to be MOS in the same font as you used fof the logo writing.
In regard to completed files, we will require all the normal files that would be suitable for print, website etc. If I choose a logo which has a colour I am interested in then I would also require the pantone colour/s you used to create it. I would suggest that 4 colours should be more than enough. Keep it simple, stylish, sophisticated, modern and with a traditional feel and an air of distinction about it and you should do just fine!
Think suits and ties, sophisticated men, business meetings, fine dining, private jets, think Entourage!!
I have also had some enquiries about a tag line which I am also interested in but like the colouring it's not a deal breaker.
I am very active in these contests and view regularly throughout the day so if you have any questions please ask and I will happily answer. I would rather spend the time providing feedback and rating entries to get a great result rather than receiving an average result. I have not one creative bone in my body so am more than happy to let your imagination provide the ideas and I will provide the money!!
What I don't want is anything childish, cartoonish, tacky, corny or funny/ humour/ joking etc.
