Design a Website Mockup for a Music Website Homepage by karmafunk
The website is a directory of bands/musicians. They can setup and profile and users can then find them via the search box. They can also search for events in their area. The website will also be a social network. I have already started to build the website. This project is for a client. Below is an email from her giving you an idea of what she wants for the homepage and site style. She also wants a logo. And icons for the social network side of things.
Below are a list of sites that I like the general layout of.
In terms of searching for bands profiles from the homepage I like simplicity but with a modern feel ( that's really my main concern) user friendly and easy to navigate around getting the message across.
The site daft.ie and donedeal.ie below are just an example of how searching via counties in Ireland and the areas in them could work when a user is searching for a musician for either booking purposes or for viewing one of their gigs.
The users search may need to be refined from homepage in terms of if a once of user wishes to search for a band either for a booking purpose or for finding a gig.
So they will need to input book band or find a band's gig and in either what genre , location venue or further criteria they wish to put in
When a band visits the homepage they will see a prompt to join the site and have a profile and same goes for general user ' join as general user profile ( to track bands / favourite them and so on within their page) or keep a collection of bands in a tab so to speak - working here in the same way on twitter that you can ( favourite a tweet) in your profile within a favourite section
It is important that when the bands do sign up on registration they are given a one month free trial of all additional criteria and use of their own gig calendar ( displayed on their profile showing their gigs on various dates) .... these gigs will be hooked up to the search directory on homepage. Additional criteria input on registration would include functions catered for ( i.e are they a wedding band, birthdays, christenings , 21sts , festivals and so on) their genre of music, whether they are a band or solo artist, their hometown, their band name.
After the trial upon one month is finished they will revert back to using the basic free service of just being found by their band name and hometown for booking purposes .... no other info will be hooked up to search, their gigs will not be hooked in to it or any additional criteria.
So if first preference on the result pages for recommendations of bands after a user searches will be given to members paying the annual fee or getting all criteria linked in. further down the page will be the free bands as they will have less info put in if this makes sense.
Basically the homepage will be a search directory from there the user can either use once off ( book band or find gigs) , join as general user or a musician and have a profile of their own.

Notice how it has a cut-away view showing the rounded inside of a "comfort fit" verses the flat inside of a "standard fit".

Design a clean admin theme (3 pages) by DeltaUser
I want an extremly simple and perfectly coded 3 page HTML design using bootstrap, very very! close to attached screenshots. Preferable, I can use some Text instead of the image-logo in admin area and still look good.
1. Boxed centered design, just like 3 images attached.
2. I want as little javascript/script as possible, but yet enough to create a design similar to the attached screenshots.
3. I want the same layout, with white rounded boxes around both the main content area and the menu. Maybe use background color in long header behind logo instead of white to make the design complete.
4. Do not use any more colors or fancy objects/strong colors beyound what you see attached. Simple simple faded color palette like you see. Eye-candy.
5. I want 3 designed pages, all with same header/footer and just the content inside that white boxed layoyt that changes.
6. Menu should be dynamic, with shade over hooved menu: http://www.keenthemes.com/preview/metronic/theme/admin_4/layout_boxed_page.html. Please use simple style to be able to select the current page later.
7. You can use same font-type (font-awesone, open sans I think!) - see link over for reference or contact me by chat to see a live example.
You do not have to use icons at all. No datatables (you can ignore the number of items per record in top left). Use classic bootstrap tables that you style with suitable colors, like the screenshot.
Please think about good and easy html-code. I want the view source to look beutifull and simple, I don't want to include houndreds of js/css/img files. And no inline-javascript code if possible.
Actually, I love the current design you can see attached, but since it is a commercial project that I migth use other places, I need to be able to own the finished design/copyrights. I have customized the design (author link above) from the default included, but still I need to make something from scratch with same faded "feel" and look and I can't reuse any code of course due to copyrigths. Use the attachment to become inspired, but keep the layout. No flashy colors, I would love to have a color palette I can use with faded-colors like the design shows now.
Contest: Publish one or more mockup/drawing or whatever to show how you would design the admin-user-list here. If you win based on your presentation, you must design AND html-code also admin-user-reg and login-page. If you can do the php-part as well afterwards, I can pay for this as bonus or extra milestone project.
Deliverables: One admin-user-list.html, one admin-user-reg.html and one login.html. Do not use pre-made templates or any source code from others that I can't reuse in my projects, I must own the rigths to the design so I can use it in distributed, commercial projects. Admin files should be in /admin-directory, login.html on root before/outside the admin-directory. Remember: Few files as possible.
Noe: both the admin-user-list and admin-user-reg-and-edit will contain User Name, Company, Email , Enabled (status), User-type and Registration-date. The edit page would also contain Password-field. So you can use that in your design. I want to be able to see your tab-menu also.

Design a Logo for a Product by ModernMixing
This design is for a product. More specifically the product is a drum sample library. The product is called "Lo-Fi Drums Collection" and the sounds are exactly what you think they would be - Low Fidelity. They are purposely "aged" to get a certain style and texture very similar to what Drake and the Weeknd use in their music. So there's some analog tape added to them, sample rate reduction, distortion and more. Not sure if those buzzwords help. We used Drum Machines and Live drums combined with some plugins and analog gear to create the sounds.
The smallest it would have to be is 800x800. Would like some cool graphics in the background with the logo on top. Nothing too cheesy but should reflect the product. If you need some keywords think: Hip Hop, Drum Machines, Trap Music, Drake, The Weekend. But please don't use any celebrity photos.
