Company information Taiji Zen International is a new culture and lifestyle company founded by Jet Li and Jack Ma. Our mission is to promote Health and Happiness through the practice of Taijiquan and understanding of Taiji philosophy. Through a novel set of taijiquan-based training programs and a unique portfolio of apparel & merchandise, Taiji Zen will provide a compelling new mind-body training experience to modern fitness and martial arts consumers. Design contest We are looking to design an emoticon of the Taiji Zen salute. This emoticon will be used in chat programs on the computer and mobile phone (e.g. What’s App, Wechat, QQ). The TJZ Salute has the left hand in front of the right hand with fingers together and thumbs touching, left thumb on the inside, right thumb on the outside. There is space between the thumb and other fingers. After forming the hand gesture, the greeter presses both hands to the front to offer the salute. The front side of the greeting should be visible in the emoticon. The emoticon can be static, or can be dynamic, depending on your artistic judgment. See Image 1 for pictures of our greeting Our current version We are not satisfied with our current version. It doesn’t look professional, is too rough in the details, and loses the feeling of the Taiji Zen salute. The fingers are also too short and too chubby, and there is very little sense of depth. See Image 2 to see our current version See Image 3 to see how another Kungfu salute is made into an emoticon in chat programs (QQ): What can you win? The prize money will be $50. Aside from this we are also looking for a long term design partner on retainer basis for current and future projects, so if we are satisfied there is a possibility that you will be the graphic designer for Jet Li’s new company! (Prize: 50)
