Build Magento E-Commerce Site by nmoudgil
We are building an online Window Covering Store/System. Where our clients are able to shop for Blinds, Shades, Shutters, or Draperies. We are looking to build VERY SIMILAR system to www.selectblindscanada.ca and/or www.blinds.ca and/or www.blinds.com and/or www.zebrablinds.com. We are looking to build our site having combination of functionalities from these websites provided.
Along with all the usual suspects (mostly that comes out of the box) for an E-commerce site such as shopping cart, wishlist, product comparison, customer accounts, admin dashboard, customer logins etc. We require customization for pricing management and product details management. Below is an example what is required.
Admin will be able to upload pricing grid bound to each product category (Example of Product Categories: For Blinds we can have Wood Blinds, Faux Wood Blinds etc. For Shades we can have Cellular Shades, Roller Shades, Duo Shades, etc. Under Shutters we will have different product list and so on...).
For a given measurement (width and height) of window covering this grid will be able to tell the MSRP of the window covering. To extend this functionality we would like to show end user the MSRP and also show them the actual price (discounted price) that customer will pay for the window covering. So in the backend we would require functionality to upload a âCOST FACTOR SHEETâ which will keep track of what it will COST US in relation to the MSRP for a given window covering product. Ex: MSRP for a blind is $200, but our cost factor is: 0.4, this means it will cost us: $80. But now we will need to add our margin of 35% (Admin will need to set margins according to either individual product or entire category of the product) and sell the blind to customers. So final price to customer would be: $80 + 35% margin = $108. So customer saves $200 - $108 = $92 saving for customer. User must be able to select both width and height of window covering as part of a select box containing width and height values as per the restrictions set for the particular material used for window covering. So depending on the options selected for the product the price should change accordingly. This functionality is probably the most important aspect of the store.
Another important aspect of the system will be the CONSTRAINT LOGIC. For instance, if a Fabric Shade is 100 x 100 (Width x Height in inches). This shade (measuring 100 x 100) can only be manufactured within given constraints. For example: Cellular or Honeycomb Shades are constrained in following ways: Type of Fabric Selected, Cell Size (Single vs. Double), type of options selected for the fabric/product, and for the given width and height. So a customer may only be able to select Cordless option, but may not be able to select Top Down/Bottom Up option. If customer would like to have both options in the window covering, the size of the entire Shade must change from 100 x100 to say 80 x 80 inches, due to size restrictions and constraints. All this is driven by size of shade/blind/shutter, type of material used (type of fabric/wood type/shutter material), and type of options selected. Also, some of the window coverings may not come with certain options, EX: Roller Shade for example may not come with Top Down bottom up option etc. So each type of product has its own properties, characteristics, and restrictions.
We would also like to extend the functionality so the system is user friendly and have a Summary box on the left/right hand side of the product customization page that lists exactly what product, width, height, all options (color, lifting/tilting mechanisms) that user has selected in the duration of their window covering customization activity.
I haven't listed ALL the requirements, but major (custom) functionality is described above. Looking through mentioned sites should give an understanding of what the entire system entails. (Prize: 1000)

We are a startup that offers a cloud-based medical platform in developing countries.
Main focus is that doctors can create medical records of a patient on our platform and patients have access to their records anytime. The platform is mainly mobile based. Patients can also contact their doctors through our platform for online counselling.
The logo should cover the aspect of a healthcare platform. We call the platform z-waka, derived from the name of a famous physician in our history Ziwaka. The logo should instil trust, possibly give a hint to some aspect of healthcare (but not something as blunt as a stethoscope) and have a modern look. Not too eccentric or fancy. No 3D look.
