Logo design for film, videography, photo & entertainment business by lucasgee
Hi everyone
Lamphouse Presentation is my new company which specialises in videography, but also produces content across multiple mediums including film & television, photography, print media, live screenings and live events.
The company motto is simple - Any image, anywhere, anytime. The name of the company is derived from my time spent working for several years as a film projectionist - the lamphouse and projector being central to my time there I want to keep the experience alive with me. This theme and image should also be central to the logo design. There are some photo examples of the equipment I worked with attached to this brief.
From a design perspective I appreciate a less is more approach;My opinion is generally that the simplest ideas are often the most beautiful and elegant. Some hand-drawn lines are just as likely to catch by eye as something big and bold. But if big and bold is your specialty - stick to your strengths and send me an entry anyway - you may be the best designer in the pool!
The final context of the logo will be to sit front and center on the main page of a plain - possibly matte website background. So entries that double as GIFS are also welcome,

This is going to be a website for an English Teaching Institute.
It's going to be related to education. People in the search to learn english and current students will be visiting the website.
We already have a logo for the website. You'll be able to find the logo attached in this contest.
The idea is that you design a unique mock up.
If you already have some template database with you, well it's ok, you can use it anytime you correctly introduce some unique mods and the logo
and make it match with the template.
The website mock up must show a top menu and sidebar menu with same elements in both.
These elements are:
- Institute
- Courses
- Curriculum
- Location
- Contact
The final result must be delivered in png or jpg format. The minimum image width dimension must be 1300px.
If you can provide a PSD file would be better but it's not a exclusive requirement.

After the success of my previous contest - Design a Logo for a Travel App, I am posting another contest for the same app.
Nutty Traveler aims to change the way we travel. It tries to changes every journey into an experience. It is a tool which will help fellow travelers connect and share their discoveries and all in easy to read and post formats. The app will help travelers find little known details about every single place and that too from travelers who have already been there.
Guidelines for the logo:
- Should be simple and not cluttered
- Easily recognizable even in small pic size
- Preferably clean lines/silhouette
- It should have a funny element i.e. caricatures, etc.
- Would need a PNG, JPG, AI, CDR, EPF files with a transparent background so that it can be used as a watermark on images/pics
- Should be able to use it from business cards to billboards (Am not an expert here but basic googling told me vector should be used)
- The logo should bring out the quirkiness of a traveler.
- It should be about a human being not an object like a globe or a plane.
- I need a very specific design like a witch on a broom but instead of a witch it should be a thin man in shorts and holding on to his hat which is about to fly off in the wind or a man with two suitcases in either hands and on a broom flying into the horizon. A man on a broom circling the globe.
Please note that I am looking for very professional logos. Use of the right colors and fonts are very important to me. I am attaching the winning entry from my last contest. Please do not use the style. I am looking for ideas that can grab attention of my app users.
